In an effort to educate myself on the events that have led us to where we are today, and also to not be completely freaking tone-deaf, I've decided that the best way for this platform to be used for the foreseeable future is as a place to tell the stories of the Black men and woman who have be murdered due to runs in with the police.
A movement is happening across the country and it is absolutely amazing! I want to make sure, for my own part, that the names this movement is fighting for stay more than just names.
We're started with Breonna Taylor, because on day this podcast comes out, Friday June 5th 2020, would have been her 27th birthday had she been allowed to live.

Today I have the extreme pleasure of the chatting with Carolyn "CJ" Jones!
After leaving her tumultuous marriage and overcoming a long battle with addiction, CJ was facing a lifetime of built up anger and resentment. With a LOT of hard work and soul searching, CJ learned how to find forgiveness for the people who had wronged her throughout her life, and ultimately, for herself. Now she coaches other people on how to learn how to forgive.
I absolutely LOVED listening to CJ tell her stories (think skiing while high on mushrooms and listening to Eddie Murphey soundtracks) and learning about how she came to do the work she does now.
You don't want to miss this one! Especially if you're holding onto some resentments yourself!
